ManageMyHealth(TM) Patient Portal Programme Implementation Evaluation Within the Hauraki Primary Health Organisation
Hello Hauraki PHO,

I am a student studying for a Master’s in Public Health and my thesis project is focused on a patient portal evaluation within the Hauraki PHO. There are 18 total medical centres within the Hauraki PHO who have elected to implement the ManageMyHealth™ (MMH) Patient Portal Programme.

If you are one of the 18 medical centres who have implemented the MMH Patient Portal, I am asking for the following information:
​
1. I am asking for Practice Managers at the 18 medical centres who have implemented the MMH patient portal programme to fill out a survey located here. The website also contains information regarding your medical centre’s data on enrolment of the patient portal. Please see the “Patient Portal Implementation” tab on the website. Please complete by 25th April, 2018.
2. I am asking for the staff at the 18 medical centres who have implemented the MMH patient portal programme to complete an evaluation survey to measure perceptions on the patient portal programme. The medical centre survey is located here. We would like to see representation from each of the roles within your medical centre (GP, Practice Manager, Nurse, Receptionist, etc.). Please complete by 9th May, 2018.

Your assistance with these two surveys is so greatly needed and appreciated. Your participation will ensure the programme evaluation is a fair and accurate reflection of the staffs’ perceptions of the patient portal programme at the 18 medical centres who have implemented the programme. It could potentially lead to process improvements related to the patient portal programme or how future health information management programmes and platforms are rolled out in the future within the Hauraki PHO.

All results will be shared to all medical centres within the PHO via this same website in late May 2018. I will personally email all 18 practice managers to ensure they have the results and the final report for my project.

Hello Hauraki PHO Medical Centres!
I am a student working on my capstone project for a Master’s in Public Health from Des Moines University in the United States. The capstone project is similar to a thesis paper here. I have decided to do a program evaluation and the program I’d like to evaluate with your help is the Hauraki PHO's patient portal, ManageMyHealth.
A little about me- I am married to a New Zealander and we have a son together. We are currently living with my husband’s family in Thames. My work experience is varied- I served 9 years in the U.S. Army specializing in logistics and continue to work in the U.S. Army Reserves. I worked in the states for the Veterans Affairs Health Administration- a national network of hospitals and clinics serving Veterans. I was the Assistant Chief of Logistics and then moved on to Health System Specialists focused on performance improvement. I am enrolled in Des Moines University’s Master’s in Health Care Administration currently as well.
